TEMPE, Ariz. - The 12th-ranked Arizona State women's tennis team defeated the 29th-ranked New Mexico Lobos, 9-0 Sunday at the Whiteman Tennis Center on the ASU campus.
Sun Devil freshman Allison Bradshaw and No. 60 Ana Friginovic played it out to three sets in the closest match of the day, with Bradshaw notching the victory 3-6, 7-5, 7-5. ASU proved to be too much for the Lobos as Karin Palme, Kerry Giardino, and Faye DeVera each won their matches in convincing fashion.
The 17th-ranked doubles pair of Bradshaw and Katy Propstra defeated Friginovic and partner Joanne Shortall, 8-5, in the number one doubles position.
