INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Arizona State women’s swimming and diving team wrapped up action at the 2013 NCAA Championships on Saturday. The Sun Devils finished 23rd overall on the weekend.

Junior Tristin Baxter opened finals action with a 12th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle. Earning five points for the finish, Baxter swam a 16:04.53, a couple of seconds off of her career best and the current school record.

The only other Sun Devil to qualify for finals on Saturday was Caroline Kuczynski, who competed in the 200 fly. The senior finished 15th overall with a time of 1:57.71, which is just over one full second behind her personal record.

Senior Melanie Busch.

Although the women’s season has come to an end, the Devils will see action next weekend as the men take their turn in Indianapolis for their respective NCAA Championships. Beginning on March 28 and going through March 30, the men’s squad looks to carry the momentum from an outstanding performance at the Pac-12 Championships into the national competition.
