TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State volleyball has brought in consecutive freshman classes that rank in the Top 25 nationally according to PrepVolleyball.com. Head coach Jason Watson now ushers in four freshman who together rank 13th in the nation.
The 2013 incoming class consists of:
Kwyn Johnson | 6-4 | OH | Kalilspell, Mont.
Genevieve Pirotte | 5-11 | OH | Scottsdale, Ariz.
McKenzie Willey | 6-1 | OH | Highland, Utah
"Our 2013 recruiting class represents the efforts of so many people. Our staff, administration and athletes worked tirelessly to create a relationship of trust with this class," said head coach Jason Watson. "The recruits and their parents committed time and resources in order to learn more about ASU. All of this resulted in a wonderful recruiting class. They are a group of athletes I am eager to see contribute and help build upon our 2012 season.
The Sun Devils are coming off a berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2012. A major contributor to the season was the 21st ranked 2012 freshman class, led by All Pac-12 First Team member Macey Gardner and Pac-12 All-Freshman Allison Palmer. The 2013 class will look to impact the Sun Devils on the court immediately.
PrepVolleyball.com says of the 2013 freshman that Bailey and Willey bring tremendous work ethic, Johnson has a high level of athleticism and Pirotte's experience competing at a high level will add depth defensively.
The PrepVolleyball.com rankings do not take into effect any transfers or international athletes.
