Arizona State’s Sun Devil Club will hold its annual kickoff reception presented by Dana Law Firm on Thursday, August 29, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Montelucia Resort and Spa in Scottsdale.
The evening will be yet another way ASU Football is uniting its fans after a successful preseason and week at Camp T.
“Our fans and alumni play a very important role in the success of this program, and the close relationship between Sun Devil Nation and our team is something I am very proud of,” head coach Todd Graham said. “This event offers an opportunity to show our appreciation while also giving us a chance to get to know them on a more personal level.”
Last year, the event welcomed over 280 Sun Devil Club members as well as many Sun Devil Athletics coaches including men’s basketball head coach Herb Sendek and baseball coach Tim Esmay. This year, football head coach Todd Graham and Sun Devil Athletics Director Steve Patterson will be in attendance among other prominent members of Sun Devil Athletics ready to show their appreciation for such widespread support.
“We know how much our football team means to the community in the valley and we are always looking for ways to show them how much they mean to us,” Patterson said. “The Kickoff Reception is one of the many ways we say, ‘thank you.’”
Previous letterwinners and alumni will also be in attendance. Prices are $65 for Sun Devil Club (SDC) members and $75 for non-SDC members, and proceeds raised from the event benefit the Sun Devil football program. A table for 10 costs $650, while a table of eight plus an assistant football coach and his spouse costs $750.

“We had more than 5,000 fans make the trip to Camp T to watch us practice,” senior safety Alden Darby said. “I wouldn’t have the opportunity to be playing the game I love in a great city like Tempe were it not for the Sun Devil faithful.”
