AUSTIN, Texas—The eighth-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team heads to Texas to compete in the 40th Annual Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, Oct. 13-15, in Austin, Texas. The Sun Devils have competed in three tournaments in as many weeks traveling from Tennessee to Oklahoma and now to Texas.
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,143-yard University of Texas Golf Club. The Longhorn Network will air a two-hour tournament feature on Tues., Nov. 5.
The 18-team field for the tournament showcases: UCLA (1), Arizona State (8), Iowa State (15), Tulane (18), Texas, Denver, New Mexico, Tulsa, UTSA, SMU, Mississippi State, Miami, Tennessee, Furman, Princeton, TCU, San Diego State, UNLV.
The Arizona State line-up features: junior Noemi Jimenez, senior Justine Lee, freshman Monica Vaughn, senior Laura Blanco and senior Daniela Ordonez.
Last time out, the Sun Devils finished in a tie for third at the Schooner Fall Classic. Jimenez, a second-team All-American in 2013, recorded her third top-10 finish of the season.
