ASU HEAD COACH KEVIN BOYD ON KEELEY GORMLEY: “Keeley is a terrific soccer player, who I was originally thinking would play in our center back position, but I’m intrigued right now at the idea of playing her as a holding-midfielder. She is very good on the ball, good in the air, and is tactically a smart player. I know she can play center back, but I’m hoping she can play holding-mid, so we’re going to be looking at her there when she gets in.”

She exceptional in the air despite her height and is real competitive in a way that I think she’s going to be helping us right away. ASU HEAD COACH KEVIN BOYD ON JAZMARIE MADER: “Up top, Jazmarie is the player we have slated to fill Devin Marshall’s shoes. Filling Devin’s shoes is probably impossible because there isn’t another Devin out there. Jazmarie brings something different. I think she can be highly effective, which is something that Devin was, but she’ll be effective in a different way. She’s really fast, which we’ve needed on our front line. She’ll be a player who can stretch the other team’s defense and get behind it. She’s going to be able to provide us with that ability and she’s two-footed: she can shoot left and right. We’ve needed a player that can run off Cali (Farquharson) and penetrate behind and we think that she’s the one that can do that.”

ASU HEAD COACH KEVIN BOYD ON ALY MOON: “Aly Moon is a really good soccer player, which is always the best compliment I can give. She’s smart, she’s technical and she plays hard. She’s somebody that can play any of the positions in the midfield. She could also play on the back line and on the front line. Right now, I’m viewing her in the midfield in more of an attacking role. I think she is a player who can help fill the void left by the graduation of Holland Crook.”
