SEATTLE, Wash.--Hovering right around the mid-point mark of the season, the No. 40 Arizona State Sun Devils (10-2; Pac-12 0-0) women's tennis team will open Pac-12 Conference play at the Univ. of Washington on Friday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Seattle, Wash.
Arizona State will enter Friday's competition riding a four match win streak, with the most recent win being earned last weekend when the Sun Devils topped the University of Western Michigan 7-0 at home.
In the rankings this week, ASU sophomore Stephanie Vlad sits at No. 48 while her sophomore partner Desirae Krawczyk is ranked No. 122 in the country. Both Vlad and Krawczyk have played very well in the non-conference, first half of the season -- something that's expected to carry over as time goes on.
The University of Washington is currently ranked No. 28 in the country, just one spot ahead of the No. 29 ranking Arizona State earned last week. Washington is also 10-2 on the season, with their only losses coming at the hands of the University of Houston and the University of California.
