MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- For the second straight night Arizona State diver Hailey Casper notched a top 15 finish off the board in the 2014 Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships from Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
After obtaining a high enough qualifying score in the 3-meter dive preliminary, earning a score of 332.10, 14th best of 39 divers, she followed that up with a B-Final dive good enough for another 14th place, this time improving her score to 335.55.
Casper netted three points for Arizona State after earning five on Thursday’s 1-meter dive.
Tristin Baxter, the other Sun Devil competing at the NCAA Championships, will swim her signature event on Saturday, the 1650 free, the final day of competition on the women’s side. She did find the water on Friday though as she had been invited to swim in the 400 IM. Having the 40th best time in the country coming into the day, Baxter finished in 38th in the preliminary race, swimming a time of 4:13.90, .77 of a second better than her previous fastest time.
