NORMAN, Okla. -- The Palmer Cup teams for both the United States and Europe were announced Thursday on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive. Among those selected to compete for Europe was Arizona State’s Jon Rahm.

The annual Ryder Cup-style competition will be played June 26-28 at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England.

Rahm is in the midst of placing his name alongside past Sun Devil greats. The 2012-13 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year has returned to familiar form in 2013-14, headlined by his school-record 21-under par 192 at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.  By being selected to compete for Team Europe, Rahm joins to likes of five former Sun Devil standouts.
