"I've had a wonderful life, and a big part of that took place in Packard Stadium, so it will be very sad to leave here…but I do believe they are upgrading and going to a better facility…because it’s about the team and the fans…and that can be moved anywhere” – Pat Brock (wife of the late Jim Brock)
Packard Stadium has played an integral in the success of the Sun Devil Baseball program since 1974, and after hosting more than 1,400 games, nearly 100 All-Americans, 14 conference titles, two national championships and 350 Major League Draft picks, it is time for us to say farewell.

"The new stadium is exciting for players, coaches, alumni and fans alike. A long list of great players, a winning tradition and a rich history made Arizona State the preeminent program in the nation. Playing in Phoenix Muni will now steer Sun Devil baseball into a new era of distinction.” - Vice President for University Athletics Ray Anderson
Situated within the picturesque Papago Mountains, Phoenix Municipal Stadium offers Sun Devil fans a one-of-a-kind college baseball experience to guide us into the next chapter of this historic program. The new facility will offer higher capacity, improved amenities, and opportunities for better in-game experience for fans, alumni, former letter winners, student-athletes, media and employees.
Sun Devil Athletics will honor the baseball program’s storied tradition through a variety of ways, including increased signage and branding as well as creating a Legacy Walk that will feature permanent plaques for our three former head coaches and the foundation of the program, increased use of historical photos and video, and added emphasis on our strong ties with Major League Baseball, USA Baseball and the College World Series.
Capital improvements will include a state-of-the art video board, batting tunnel, and weight room, a redesigned clubhouse complete with a player’s lounge, academic center and training room, creation of a grass berm and patio installations, and premium seating options.
The most successful baseball programs have a committed community behind them and Sun Devil Baseball cannot continue to flourish without it. Through annual support and involvement, we have the ability to shape the destiny of Sun Devil Baseball for years to come. Our vision is to build a community of members charged with the responsibility of ensuring the next chapter in this program’s history is as storied as its past.
