Jr. OF Jake Peevyhouse

·     Peevyhouse went 7-for-17 with five doubles, six runs scored and three RBI to lead the Sun Devils to three wins this past week, including two road victories over No. 15 UCLA. He made four starts in the outfield and recorded a .412 batting average, a .706 slugging percentage and .474 on-base percentage

·     He scored two runs and drove in a pair, and became the first Sun Devil since Joey DeMichele on March 12, 2011 against Auburn to tally three doubles, in an 8-5 road win over UCLA on March 29

·      He scored the game-winning run in the 10th inning on March 30 to give the Sun Devils their second consecutive road series win over a top-15 Pac-12 team. He doubled with one out in the frame, his fifth of the week, to set up Ybarra’s game-winning hit three batters later.

·      He went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI in the Devils’ 14-6 midweek non-conference game over Arizona.

So. RHP Ryan Burr

·       Burr earned his sixth save of the season in ASU’s 8-5 win over No. 15 UCLA on March 29 and earned the win in the Devils’ 6-5 extra-innings win over the Bruins on March 30. He now has 18 in his career, tied for the third most in school history

·      He recorded a 0.00 ERA in four innings of work across two appearances. He struck out six, including five in his win on March 30, and allowed just two hits and one walk for a .154 opposing batting average

·    He allowed just two baserunners over the final 2 2/3 innings and struck out the final batter of the game to earn the win in 10 innings on March 30. He tied his season high with five strikeouts after he took over with one runner on base and one out in the eighth

·    He allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings and struck out Bruins second baseman Kevin Williams to seal the save on March 29

Packing Them In
The Devils currently rank 19th in average attendance at 2,800 (39,212 total in 14 games), which is just under 300 more fans per game than the next closest West Coast team, Oregon State. ASU has led the West Coast and Pac-12 in average attendance for nine consecutive years and 10 of the past 11 seasons.

R.J. Clutch
Sophomore RJ Ybarra delivered a pinch-hit RBI single with two outs in the top of the 10th inning to give the Arizona State University baseball team a 6-5 win over No. 15 UCLA on Sunday. That is the third game-winning single Ybarra has hit in 62 career games with the Devils. He secured two game-winning singles as a freshman in 2013, including one walk-off, over the span of five games in the beginning of April. He delivered a two-out RBI single in the top of the ninth inning to give ASU a 4-3 win over the Shockers, and followed it up with an RBI single to left-center field in the bottom of the 11th inning that lifted the Devils to a 6-5 walk-off victory over Oregon.
