TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Athletics Ticket Office and the Sales and Service Department are introducing two new initiatives to allow SDA to better connect with its fan base and offer assistance on a more personal level.
A live chat function offering the opportunity to interact with the Sales and Service team is now available through thesundevils.com, and the SDA Ticket Office has expanded its hours of operation and will now be open on Saturdays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm beginning on Aug. 3.
‘These two initiatives are designed at putting our fans first by giving them more options to communicate with us on their schedule,” Senior Associate AD for External Relations Rocky Harris said. “We recognize that not everyone has the time during the work week to visit us, call or wait for an email response. ‘Access’ is a key piece of the Sun Devil Athletics vision and we are confident these two developments are yet another step toward giving our fans the best possible experience.”
An icon will now appear on the right side of all ticket pages on the thesundevils.com and other areas, including the Sun Devil Club and Student Tickets, may be integrated in the future. The live chat capabilities will also be embedded in select emails and on the Arizona State Sun Devils Facebook page.
These extended hours are in addition to the regular hours of operation, which is Monday through Friday from 9 am - 5 pm, and are valid for non-home football game days Saturdays through Nov. 23. Customers can call or stop by during the new Saturday office hours and tickets are still available online 24 hours a day.
Both departments have spent the past 18 months increasing their presence in the local community, from attending events in the Valley to connecting with Sun Devil Nation both digitally and socially.
The external relations team, which includes Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales and Customer Service, was created by Vice President for University Athletics Steve Patterson in July 2012 to improve interactions with SDA’s key constituent groups.
Patterson also added a dedicated sales and customer service staff of 30 and partnered with the Disney Institute to overhaul the customer experience and improve the organizational culture.
On home football game days, the ticket office will be open from 10:00 am through the end of the third quarter. Phones will be available from 10:00 am until 4 hours prior to kick-off and
