Baseball player Kole Calhoun has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 1st. Calhoun is once again heating up for the stretch run as he continues to be a dominating force in the middle of the line-up. He batted .500 on the week, while driving in four runs. His strong performance, which included three extra-base hits on the week, so far this season has the Sun Devils at 34-5 and first place in the Pac-10 (11-4). The Sun Devils continue their march for their third consecutive Pac-10 Title as they head to Los Angeles this weekend to face UCLA on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Kole Calhoun found his offensive groove this week for Arizona State, going 7-14 (.500) with a double and two home runs, slugging 1.000 over ASU's four games. Calhoun drove in four and drew five walks, scoring four times as ASU won their weekend series with Washington. The right fielder also had an assist from him outfield position.
