TEMPE, Ariz.--- The Arizona State men’s and women’s swimming and diving team will host fellow Pac-10 competitors California on Friday at 1 p.m. and Stanford on Saturday with the women competing at 11 a.m. and men following at 1 p.m.
The 26th-ranked Sun Devil women’s team (3-2) will be up against the No. 1 ranked Stanford Cardinal and the fourth ranked California Golden Bears.
With the women’s swimming team coming off of a victory over both Utah and Oregon State and a third place finish at the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif., the Sun Devils are ready to prove they can compete against two of the top-ranked teams in the nation.
ASU women last faced the Bay Area schools at the Arena Invitational hosted by UCSD in Long Beach, California. Juniors Rebecca Ejdervik and Kelli Kyle, sophomore Caroline Kuczynski and senior Katie Haron set a new Arena Invitational record of 1.38.93 in the 200-medley relay beating out both relay teams from Cal and Stanford.
Additionally, Ejdervik set an Arena Invitational meet record in the 100-yard breaststroke and for which she is currently ranked sixth in the nation in the event.
The ASU men’s team (0-3) faces conference opponents at home for the first time this season. The Sun Devils last competed in the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif. Freshman Hayden Thomas has made an initial impact for ASU. The former State Champion has consistently swam well in the distance freestyle events. Senior Nolan Ruane also looks to have a stand out meet in his last home meet of the season.

Cassie Morrice: 11th in 500 feet
Tristin Baxter: 11th in 1650 Free and 23rd in 1000 Free
Rebecca Ejdervik: 6th in 100 Breast
Caroline Kuczynski: 12th in 100 fly and 11th in the 200 & 400 Medley Relay
