As Arizona State University's women's swimming and diving seniors competed at Mona Plummer Aquatic Complex for the final time of their collegiate careers and while junior Caitlin Andrew achieved a pair of NCAA `B' cut performances, the Sun Devils ultimately fell to No. 1 Stanford, 170-122.

Andrew recorded two first-place finishes on the day, highlighted by her `B' cut performance in the 100 fly (54.56). Andrew also won the 100 free, touching in 51.29 and was part of ASU's `B' cut 200 free relay, joining sophomore Jen Beckberger, senior Abra Armour and freshman Jess Perazzo, who ultimately completed the event in 1:32.57.

Beckberger also scored highly in the 200 free, finishing second and touching in 1:50.83. She also scored in the 50 free for the Sun Devils.

Freshman Ashton Aubry placed second in the 200 fly, finishing in 2:05.28, as did freshman Sara McDaniel in the 100 breast, touching in 1:04.59.  McDaniel aided ASU's overall finish by scoring in the 200 breast also.

Helping ASU's early scoring surge among individual events were freshman Jenna Gamble (1000 free), senior Carissa Abe (100 back), freshman Mirela Kardasevic (100 and 200 back), senior Christine Creek (100 and 200 breast), senior Jill Kripps (200 fly), junior Sarah Fischer (500 and 1000 free, 200 fly), Perazzo (50 and 100 free), Armour (50 free), junior Lindsey Brown (100 free), sophomore Rikka Brunner (200 back) and junior Ellis Schieman (500 free).

In her final home appearance at ASU, senior diver Cassidy Farwell placed second in the 3-meter (298.65) and third in the 1-meter diving events.

In all, the Sun Devils showcased the final home performances by six swimmers on Senior Day, including Abe, Armour, Farwell, Amanda Gillespie and Kripps.

Saturday marks the completion of ASU's 2006-07 home schedule, and ASU's women will finish its regular season Feb. 3 in Tucson, Ariz., as the Sun Devils will travel to face rival Arizona.
