Boyd, a senior family and human development major with a 3.72 GPA, is a repeat Academic All-America® selection, having been named to the third team last season. The Phoenix, Ariz., native is a two-time first team All-American and currently ranks in the top 20 nationally in eight statistical categories. Boyd is one of 10 finalists for both the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.

Lockwood, a senior special education and sociology major, has a 3.76 GPA. Sporting a .319 batting average, Phoenix, Ariz., native is second on the team in hits (52), RBI (51) and walks (37). So far in 2012, she has tied a career best single-game high in six different categories.

Wigness, a sophomore political science and communication major, boasts a 4.0 GPA. The Casa Grande, Ariz., native has a .404 batting average with 38 hits and 41 runs, and has rewritten her career bests in six single-game categories this season.

To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 14,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
