TEMPE, Ariz. -- The defending Pac-10 Champion Arizona State University men's golf team won its first tournament of the year with a convincing 23-shot victory over host USC in the Cleveland Golf Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif. on March 23-24. ASU shot a three-round score of 862 (285-290-287) and was 10-over-par in winning the tournament, as freshman Paul Caley took home individual medalist honors with a three-round total of 209 (73-70-66), 4-over-par. Freshman Jeff Quinney was fifth with a 216 (71-73-72), while Greg Padilla was tied for sixth with a 217 (70-74-73). ASU will now compete in the U.S. Collegiate Golf Championship at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. on April 3-5. ESPN will televise the the final two rounds live on Saturday, April 4th from Noon-2 p.m. MT and on Sunday, April 5th from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
