Men's Swimming in Fifth Headed into Final Round of Pac-10s

LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Arizona State men’s swimming team is in fifth place after the third day of competition at the Pac-10 Championships. The ASU A relay of freshman David Adalsteinsson, sophomore Stephen Estes, junior Yutaro Yamashita and junior Jesper Akesson finished sixth at the Pac-10 Championships with a time of 3:1872 in the 400 medley relay.

Sun Devil John Vivadelli finished in 15th for ASU in the 400 IM, swimming a 3:58.65 in the final event to earn 2 points for the Sun Devils. Yamashita finished in 19th in the conference in the 100 fly with a time of 49.39.

Estes earned points for ASU in the 100 breast finals, finishing with an NCAA consideration time of 55.12 to finish 14th overall. 

The final round of the Pac-10 Championships concludes tomorrow in Long Beach, Calif. at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool.
