The Arizona State University swimming and diving teams head out to the Bay Area to compete against Pac-10 powerhouses Stanford and California. The women are 6-3 (2-2 Pac-10) while the men are 3-2 (0-1 Pac-10).

Just Came Down From Londontown

Xavier Mohammed, of London, has proven to be quite the star for the ASU men's swimming team. In his first full season with the Sun Devils, Mohammed has handily scored the most points of any individual on the team. At the Mizzou Invitational, Mohammed won three events for the Sun Devils, the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM. He now owns the 400 IM meet record and is now fifth on ASU's all-time list in the event.

Pac-10's Finest
Elina Eggers and Cameron Bradshaw were recognized as Pac-10 Divers of the Month for the month of December. This is the first time both a male and female Sun Devil diver have been awarded the conference honor in the same month. Trisha Tumlinson and Joona Puhakka were the only other two male and female divers to receive it in the same year.

O Canada

Riley McCormick may be a freshman but he sure does not dive like it. The 2008 Canadian Olympian has already achieved NCAA automatic qualifying scores in both springboards as well as the platform. He dominated the tower at the Wildcat Invitational, winning by over 60 points.

ASU's Newest Record-Holder

It only took three dual meets for Elina Eggers to break a school record. With a score of 339.90, Eggers crushed Trisha Tumlinson's five-year standing mark of 326.35 to set a new standard in the 1-meter. Eggers, a 2008 Olympic finalist on the platform, additionally won the 3-meter that meet. She was recognized as ASU Athlete of the Week for her record-setting performance.

Going Green

Jordyn Green successfully avoid the sophomore slump. The Reno, Nev., native won both breaststroke events at the Mizzou Invite. With times already under the NCAA "B" standard, Green aims to return to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season.

Heading to the Zone!

Seven Sun Devil divers have already qualified for the NCAA Zone E Meet. Constantin Blaha, Bradshaw, Eggers, Ciara Geller, Marissa Johnson and Brittany Jumer have each garnered NCAA automatic qualifying scores and will be heading to Austin in March to attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Turning the Paige

Paige Schultz already etched her name on the Sun Devils top 10 list. The freshman is now ranked 10th in the 400 IM after clocking in at 4:20.42. She is also ranked sixth in the 200 IM.

Senioritis

Ashley Evans has had quite the senior year so far. With a win in the 200 IM at the Mizzou Invite, Evans earned an NCAA B standard. She is now third on ASU's all-time list with a time of 2:00.62. She also placed third in the 100 free with a time of 50.87.

Next Up
The team will host Arizona on February 13 at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. The time is to be determined.
