Here is a look back by the numbers on the 2011-12 Sun Devil Athletic Season...with more to be added in the next few weeks as we put our thinking caps on.

Our very own Jean Boyd was selected as the 2012 Lan Hewlett Award winner, given to the nation's top academic advisor, as he guided ASU to an average 2012 APR score of 978 for all sports, which is the school's highest ever and ranks among the very best in the Pacific-12 Conference. Softball, tennis and women's swimming all lead the Pac-12 conference with the highest APR in their respective sports. Click herefor a full look at ASU's APR.

Volleyball starters Stephanie Preach and Nora Tuioti-Mariner were named Pac-12 Defensive and Freshman of the Week on Nov. 14. The pair are the first weekly honors for ASU since Sept. 30, 2002. Preach marked the 15th all-time selection in program history and Tuioti-Mariner is the first to be awarded Freshman of the Week since its inception with the start of the new conference alignment of the Pac-12.

Senior Rebecca Ejdervik became the first women's swimmer in Arizona State history to win three conference titles in the same event with her 2012 Pac-12 Championship in the 100 breast.

Three individual NCAA Championship titles were won as Jordan Clarke (indoor track and field and outdoor track and field in the shot put) and Mason McHenry (indoor 800m dash) both took home the honor. Clarke, a junior, defended his national title in the shot put and made the short list of 10 as a finalist for The Bowerman Award - the highest honor bestowed on collegiate track and field athletes. With Clarke's success, ASU has won the last four NCAA outdoor shot put competitions and eight of the last 10 total shot put titles between indoor and outdoor campaigns (alumni and 2012 Olympian Ryan Whitinghad five shot put crowns).

The softball team had the distinct honor of having four student-athletes named Academic All-America, the only Pac-12 school to place softball players on the list. Clint Myerssquad made its 10th appearance in the Women's College World Series and finished fourth in the nation. In all, the Sun Devils had 21 wins against ranked opponents, 24 mercy rule wins (program best) and swept five Pac-12 opponents.

Six Sun Devil teams finished in the top-25 either at the NCAA Championships or in the final rankings. Men's indoor track and softball earned fourth-place finishes, water polo was fifth, men's outdoor track and field was 16th, baseball finished ranked 21st and women's outdoor track and field was 24th.

Coach Herb Sendek led the Sun Devils to their seventh Territorial Cup win in the past 11 meetings with Arizona on the final day of the regular season.

Eight sports achieved a single-year APR score of 1000 (100%) - men's basketball, baseball, women's cross country, softball, soccer, swimming, women's tennis, and volleyball. Three received public recognition by NCAA - women's tennis, soccer and softball - which was the second-most in the Pac-12.

The Sun Devil tennis team has recorded a perfect 1000 APR score since NCAA instituted the academic measurement, which is currently at eight-straight years.

Nine student-athletes earned Academic All-America selections: Elina Eggers (diving), Hillary Bach (softball), Katelyn Boyd (softball), Annie Lockwood (softball), Bailey Wigness (softball), John Kline (track and field), Jamie Sandys (track and field), Nick Happe (track and field) and C.J. Navarro (track and field).

High score senior Beaté Jones recorded on floor in Arizona State's first victory over rival Arizona since 2006. The Sun Devils scored a season-high 195.875 in the meet.

Baseball produced an NCAA-best 10 selections in the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft, including five in the first five rounds for the first time in program history since 1984. Thirty-one Sun Devils have been taken in the MLB Draft in coach Esmay's three seasons at ASU, which is the most of any Div. I school in that time span.

Football averaged 11,064 more fans per game than it did in 2010, which was the largest average attendance increase in college football for the 2011 season. Upwards of 70,000 fans were on hand as the Sun Devils upset No. 21 Missouri in overtime, the largest crowd at Sun Devil Stadium in three years.

The Sun Devil's women's swimming and diving team finished 12th in the nation at the NCAA Championships this season, the highest finish for the program since 2005. At the NCAA Championships, a total of eight athletes earned a total of 20 All-America honors, including six first-team All-Americans and 10 first-team honors.

Women's Cross Country was led by freshman Shelby Houlihan who earned the Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year en route to helping the Sun Devils to their 13th NCAA Championship berth in the last 14 seasons.

ASU has 18 current/former student-athletes competing in the 2012 Olympics, eight for the United States. ASU Olympians: Zeke Jones (USA Wrestling, Freestyle head coach), Kyle Alcorn (USA Track and Field, 3000m Steeple), Gao Ao (China, Water Polo), Micky Benedetti (Italy, Diving - 3m Springboard), Eric Boateng (Great Britain, Basketball), Kelsey Campbell (USA, Wrestling), Desiree Davila (USA, Marathon), Ike Diogu (Nigeria, Basketball), James Harden (USA, Basketball), Amy Hastings (USA, Track and Field - 10,000m), Rita Keszthelyi (Hungary, Water Polo), Amy LePeilbet (USA, Soccer), Riley McCormick (Canada, Diving - 10m Platform), Gal Nevo (Israel, Swimming - 200/400IM), Donald Sanford (Israel Track and Field, 400m Dash), Rowie Webster (Australia, Water Polo), Ryan Whiting(USA, Track and Field - Shot Put), Alison Williamson (Great Britain, Archery).

Junior running back Cameron Marshall tied a single-season school record with his Pac-12-best 18 rushing touchdowns. He also became the 16th player in school history, and first since 2006, to rush more than 1,000 yards in a single season.

Women's golf earned in its 21st-consecutive NCAA Championship appearance, the nation's longest streak of women's golf NCAA Championship appearances. Senior Giulia Molinaro not only led her fellow Sun Devils but also the Pac-12 for which she was named the Pac-12 Golfer of the Year and First Team All-America.

Volleyball's incoming freshman class was ranked 21st in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com. The Sun Devil newcomers join 13 returners of the program from last year's squad, which includes eight starters, one redshirt freshman, five sophomores, five juniors and two seniors.

The Sun Devil tennis team earned in its 25th-straight NCAA postseason bid and 27th overall for head coach Sheila McInerney. Sophomore Jacqueline Cako was named a top-16 seed in the NCAA Championships and earned All-American honors, the first Sun Devil to earn the distinction in back-to-back years in singles since 2003.

Under track and field coach Greg Kraft, 27 Sun Devils have earned national titles and outdoor track and field won 12 Pac-12 individual titles. Kraft has been named the USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year four times and Regional Coach of the Year 10 times including during the 2011-12 indoor season.

Gymnastics qualified for its 31st NCAA Regional in 32 seasons. Under head coach John Spini, the Sun Devils have qualified for 31 NCAA Regionals, 20 NCAA Championships, have nine top-five finishes and 19 top-10 finishes. Spini was hired in 1980.

Just under 40 Sun Devils were named All-Americans and here is a breakdown of each sport: baseball (three), softball (two), women's golf (one), swimming and diving (nine), tennis (one), outdoor track and field (20) and water polo (three).

Baseball recorded its 50th straight 30-win season, which is the longest current streak in Div. 1 baseball. The streak started with the 1963 season when ASU went 34-13, and the program has never had a losing season in its 54 years, with three coaches (Jim Brock, Pat Murphy and Tim Esmay) having never won fewer than 30 games.

2011 starting quarterback Brock Osweiler was taken with the 57th overall pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2nd round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Osweiler was the highest Sun Devil draft pick since Zach Miller five years ago.

Had nine Academic All-Americans in 2011-12 and 62 since 2000, which maintained ASU's standing as second in the conference and eighth in NCAA.

Pac-12 Golfer of the Year Giulia Molinaro's scoring average for the 2011-12 season. Molinaro knocked off almost three strokes from her 75.00 scoring average from the previous season for the second-best unadjusted scoring average in the NCAA.

ASU's GSR (Graduation Success Rate) for 2011-12 was 79-percent, an all-time high.

100
The 100 student-athletes who have gone from the Sun Devil baseball program to the Major Leagues is the most of any school since 1959, the year baseball became a varsity sport at ASU. The program has had at least one major league player on their varsity roster from 1961 through 2010, which is the longest current streak in the nation.
