TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State, Midwest Regional champion after a 3-1 win over Georgia Tech, will face Florida State this Friday, May 29, at 12:30 p.m. (Arizona Time) in the first round of the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. ASU is the sixth-seed in the eight-team, doube-elimination World Series. The game will be televised live by ESPN and broadcast locally on KMVP-860 AM.
The College World Series begins Friday and concludes Saturday, June 6 with the championship game. ASU hosted Florida State earlier this season, losing a pair of games on February 6-7 by scores of 3-2 and 6-1, respectively.
As the number six seed, ASU will have a one-hour open practice on Thursday at Rosenblatt Stadium at 10 a.m. CST.
