TEMPE, Ariz. - Junior RHP Mike Leake and junior OF Jason Kipnis were both named Louisville Slugger First Team All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball, the publication announced today. Leake, who was named the Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season, was named a Second Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball last season.

Leake (Fallbrook, Calif.) is currently 14-1 with a 1.24 ERA, both of which lead the conference. He has fanned 128 batters in 115.2 innings, walking only 18. He was named to the All-Pac-10 team for the third straight year, and this marks the third consecutive season Leake has earned All-American honors. He was a third team selection in 2007 and a second team pick last year.

Kipnis (Northbrook, Ill.) leads Arizona State with his .380 batting average and has hit 14 homers and driven in 65 RBI. He has also stolen a league-leading 21 bases. He was a Second Team All-American a season ago and was named All-Pac-10 for the second straight year.

Junior LHP Josh Spence and junior C Carlos Ramirez each earned Third Team All-American honors, giving ASU at least four All-Americans for the third straight year. Spence (Victoria, Australia) is 8-1 for the Sun Devils, despite missing a month with a finger injury. Ramirez leads the team with 18 home runs and 67 RBI and has started every game behind the plate.
