The Arizona State Sun Devil baseball team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2000 Pacific-10 Conference Baseball Coaches Preseason Poll announced today.

Stanford was selected as the preseason favorite to win the conference. The Cardinal won their 15th conference title last season and advanced to the College World Series, where they finishe tied for third.

The 2000 season marks the second year of a single, nine-team division. Last year was the first season of the new alignment following the end of the 20 years of North and South division play.

Points are awarded in descending order with 8 points for first place, 7 points for second place, and so on. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team.

ASU finished the 1999 season with a 39-21 record, 12-12 in conference play.
