SUN DEVILS MEET BRUINS
The Sun Devil men's hoops team (21-11) plays a Pac-12 Network noon PT Pac-12 Tournament game on Thursday (March 14) vs. UCLA at the MGM Grand Garden Arena (13,151). ASU and the Bruins split this year, and ASU is coming off an 89-88 overtime win against Stanford on Wednesday led by Jahii Carson's 34 points (most by a freshmen in Pac-12 Tournament history) and Carrick Felix's Pac-12 leading 13th double-double (19 points/12 rebounds). ASU moved to 4-1 in overtime on the year and 3-1 in one-point games. Carrick averaged 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds against the Bruins this year. The game matches the top two scoring freshmen in the nation, as Jahii and Shabazz Muhammad both enter the game averaging 18.3 points per game.

ASU has a school-record 198 blocks, just one short of the Pac-12 record of 199 set by UCLA in 2010-11. Junior Jordan Bachynski needs just three blocks to set the Pac-12 season record, and the top three spots on that chart are Sun Devils.

Carrick Felix leads the Pac-12 with 13 double-doubles, and only Eric Moreland of Oregon State has a dozen. His nine double-doubles in the 18 Pac-12 games also led the league.
ASU lost a tough overtime game to UCLA on Feb. 27 79-74 despite Jahii Carson's 22 points and seven assists and Carrick Felix's 16 points and 18 rebounds, the most by a Sun Devil since Jeff Pendergraph had 19 at No. 13 Oregon on Feb. 8, 2007. It is tied for the second-most by a Sun Devil in a road game in the past 26 seasons (1987-88 to present). ASU won a 78-60 game over the Bruins on Jan. 26 as Jordan Bachynski had 22 points, 15 boards and six blocks. Carrick Felix had 23 points and 11 rebounds in that game. ASU outrebounded UCLA 53-33, had 10 blocks and held UCLA to 25-of-72 (.347) from the field and 5-of-24 (.208) from the three-point stripe. ASU held the Bruins to just 53-of-138 (.384) from the field in the two games.
