Men's Swimming Earns NCAA Consideration Times at Day Two of Pac-10s

LONG BEACH, Calif.--After the second round of competition at the Pac-10 Championship, the Arizona State men's swimming team is in fifth place at the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif.

Sophomore Caleb Veazey, freshman Karl Boscacci, freshman Ryan Glander, and junior Yutaro Yamashita all swam an NCAA consideration time in the 500 free finals. Veazy finished 17th overall in the event for the Sun Devils with a time of 4:25.78.

Junior Jesper Akesson finished 24th in the men's 50 free on Thursday, finishing the race with a time of 20.64 in the event.

The third round of the 2011 Pac-10 Championships continues tomorrow from the Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. For results check back with thesundevils.com.
