The NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships got off to a start. Senior Micky Benedetti was the lone competitor for the Arizona State Sun Devils. The senior All-American placed 23rd in the 1-meter. With 295.30 points, Benedetti did not make All-American status on the 1-meter for the first time in three years.

Benedetti will compete tomorrow in the 3-meter. Senior Vinicius Waked will make his NCAA Championship debut as he will compete in the 200 freestyle.
