TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State Sun Devils ended their spring break week on a high note, sweeping the Maine Black Bears thanks to an 11-5 victory on Sunday afternoon. The 2,755 fans at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark saw ASU pound at 14 hits to improve their season mark to 19-7.

Brian Flores, pitching with a pitch count, started on the hill for ASU. He went four innings and allowed only three hits. He struck out four to pick up the win and improve to 4-0 on the year.

Kiel Roling continued to knock in runs, bringing home the games first run on an RBI single that scored Brett Wallace. Petey Paramore brought Roling home with a triple to center. Matt Hall made it 3-0 in the second when his sac bunt scored Rocky Laguna from third. Wallace singled home Matt Spencer to give ASU a 4-0 lead.

ASU had a runner on third with two outs when Maine opted to intentionally walk Brett Wallace to face Eric Sogard. Sogard made them pay, hitting his fourth homer of the year onto Rural Road to make it 7-0 Devils. Roling made it 8-1 in the sixth with an RBI double to right center.

After Maine tightened things up by scoring four times in the eighth, Roling added an insurance run in the bottom half of the inning, bringing home Joe Persichina with an RBI single. Ryan Sontag added another run with his RBI single up the middle that scored Roling. Rocky Laguna plated another run with a single to left that scored Petey Paramore. Joey Parigi would close out the Black Bears in the ninth pick up his second save of the year.

Brett Wallace went 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Kiel Roling was 3-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Matt Spencer went 3-4 and Petey Paramore also added a pair of hits in the victory.

Arizona State finished their spring break week 6-0 and was led by the bats of Kiel Roling and Brett Wallace. Roling went 12-20 (.600) with 15 RBI, 11 runs scored, two walks and seven extra base hits, including two home runs. Wallace finished the week 11-23 (.478) with ten RBI, eight extra base hits, including three home runs, ten runs scored and three walks. One of Wallace's round trippers cleared the green monster in centerfield at Packard Stadium, making him the 18th player all-time and first since 2000 to accomplish that feat.

The Sun Devils head to Los Angeles next weekend to open Pac-10 play, facing the USC Trojans in a three-game series that begins Friday night at Dedeaux Field. FSN Arizona will televise the series opener.
