|Position:||Coordinator, Former Student-Athlete Outreach|
Kevin Miniefield is a former ASU cornerback playing for the Sun Devils from 1988-1993 and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. While playing, Kevin earned first-team All-Pacific-10 Conference honors in 1992, and he played in the Blue-Gray Classic, an all-star bowl game, after his senior season. Kevin was drafted in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft (201st pick overall) by the Detroit Lions. He went on to play five years in the NFL, four with the Chicago Bears and one with the Arizona Cardinals, before having to retire due to injury.
After his NFL career, Miniefield has worked in several different positions in the Phoenix area. Prior to joining the Sun Devil Club in 2008, Kevin was a mortgage consultant for Great Southwest Mortgage in Mesa.
Kevin’s position as Coordinator of Former Student-Athlete Development consists of communication with former student-athletes, forming ambassador programs for each sport by era and eventually helping former student-athletes join the Sun Devil Club. Kevin also connects with head coaches about their program needs and overall support for the Sun Devil Club, and he supports both Sun Devil Club and sport-specific events.
