2010 (Sophomore): Emerged as one of the most dominant closers in the nation, earning Second Team All-America honors from the NCBWA and Third Team recognition by the ABCA and Collegiate Baseball...was a First Team All-Pac-10 pick and a finalist for the Stopper of the Year Award, as well as an All-West Region selection by the ABCA...appeared in 34 games out of the bullpen, recording a school record 14 saves...had a 2-0 record and was the winning pitcher in the Super Regional clinching victory over Arkansas...threw 37.0 innings, compiling a 2.19 ERA...fanned 48 batters while walking only 10...also played in 15 games as a position player, starting 12 at catcher...twice caught the first eight innings before pitching in the ninth...hit. 352 with seven RBI...drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2nd Round (75th overall) of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.
