WHAT TO KNOW: Has a solid outside shot and great strength and should be more comfortable in the system in his second year. Has been on campus since June of 2003 so has been able to get a head start in the classroom and he has taken advantage of it. He is always studying on road trips, and he speaks French, English, Dutch and Fefe, an African dialect. Rob Evans says he had "one of the best high school transcripts I have ever read." Yes, his first name is spelled with two "i's", that is not a typo. A native of Cameroon, along with teammate Serge Angounou. Grabbed 24 rebounds in a high school game and he will challenge for playing time at both forward positions. Good combination of strength and shooting touch allows him to grab rebounds yet be an offensive threat from the perimeter if needed. Started in 11 games last year and averaged 14.3 minutes per game.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2003-2004): An 11-game starter in freshman season...had six boards in eight minutes at Oregon on Feb. 21...posted 11 boards in 32 minutes at Nebraska on Dec. 3...became just the third Sun Devil freshman in the past 12 seasons to register a double-double with his 16-point, 13-rebound performance vs. UC Riverside on Nov. 29...13 rebounds vs. UC Riverside is tied for the sixth-most by a freshman in ASU history...11 points vs. Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 24...opened year with 11 points and eight boards vs. Arkansas-Little Rock on Nov. 22 off the bench.

AMELIA ACADEMY: Clark Francis had him as the No. 36 power forward in Basketball Times...graduated in June of 2003 from Amelia Academy in Amelia, Va....earned two letters in basketball...team competed in the Virginia Independent Schools/Virginia Commonwealth Conference (VCC)...captain of team in senior year...coached in high school by Andy Janto...a first-team all-state and conference MVP in junior season and first-team all-state and regular season MVP in senior season...averaged 23 points, 16.5 boards, 4.4 assists and 3.4 blocks in senior season...averaged 20 points and 12 boards in junior season...best games in high school were 39 points, 24 rebounds, nine blocks and seven assists.
