ASU: One of ASU's long-distance forces... key contributor to cross country team's sixth-place finish at NCAA Championships this past fall.

2000 XC: One of two seniors on finisher in all major's third-highest finisher at NCAA Championships, placing 51st in 21:34.3...earned all-region honors with a third-place finish at West Regionals (20:36), surpassing the previous record finish (fourth) of Kelly MacDonald last year...third-place finish was best career finish since winning the ASU Inv. Oct. 17, 1997, while her regional time improved 12 seconds from the Pac-10 Championships (20:47.7) and nearly two minutes from the NCAA Pre-National Inv. (22:07.7)'s second-highest finisher behind Aguilera at regionals (third) and conference championships (seventh)... a Pac-10 first-team All-Academic selection with a 3.91 GPA in broadcasting.

2000 Outdoor: Ran the fifth-fastest 10,000m time in ASU history (35:12.48n) at the Penn Relays, also an NCAA provisional mark...finished seventh at the Pac-10 Championships in the 10,000m (36:49.86)...turned in season-best times in the 5,000m (17:11.07), 3,000m (10:06.78), and 1,500 (4:43.25)...notched two top-three finishes.

2000 Indoor: Posted a personal best in the mile (5:19.37) at the Days Inn Inv....ran ASU's second-fastest 5,000m (17:16.81) at the Cyclone Classic.

1999 XC: Returned from injury to post two top-10 and four top-30 finishes... placed 23rd at the Pac-10 Championship (18:14), 30th at the NCAA Regional (30th) and 183rd at the NCAA Championship (18:33)... started the season red-hot with a fifth-place finish at the Cal Irvine Invitational and a sixth-place showing at the Roy Griak Invitational... ran a PR of 17:53 at the Roy Griak in Minnesota... earned first-team Pac-10 All-Academic honors and was given ASU's Academic Achievement Award.

1999 Outdoor: Posted ASU's sixth-best 10,000 time ever, 35:45.47, to finish fourth at the Pac-10 Championships... also tabbed personal-bests in the 5000 (16:53.26 at Drake Relays), 3000 (9:41.38 at Double Dual) and 1500 (4:35.94 at Arizona Elite Classic)... with those times, finished 10th at the Drake Relays, third at the Double Dual and first at the Arizona Elite Classic... also recorded a victory at the Bill Sawyer in the 3000... finished third at the Sun Angel Classic in the 3000 (9:46.53).

1999 Indoor: Did not compete while completing rehabilitation from surgery.

1998 XC: Redshirted after surgery on her left foot (navicular).

1998 Outdoor: Redshirted.

1998 Indoor: Won the mile at the Flagstaff Inv. with a personal best of 5:16.01.

1997 XC: ASU's best runner in all six races... second-team all-academic Pac-10 selection... won the ASU Invitational with an 18:14... finished fifth at Lakefront Invitational... ran a season-best 17:57 and finished 14th at Pac-10s... finished 30th at NCAA Regional (18:41).

1997 Outdoor: Ran season-best 2:17.25 in the 800 at the ASU Invitational... ran a 4:36.00 in the 1500 at Baldy Castillo Invite...registered a 10:29.97 in the 3000 at the Willie Williams Classic.

1996 XC: Ran in all six meets... District VIII qualifier... fourth at the Grand Canyon Invitational (18:37)... 38th at Pac-10s... 18th at the ASU Invitational.

High School: 1996 graduate of Osage HS in Chamois, Mo... lettered two years in cross country, two years in track, three years in volleyball and three years in cheerleading... coached by Barry Lawson... 1995 state cross country champion... 1996 Missouri 800, 1600 and 3200 champion... also won 1600 and 3200 titles as a junior... district cross country champion as a junior... best 5000 was 18:54.

Personal: Majoring in broadcasting... parents are Bill and Marilyn Duerbeck... has a brother, Jonathan (24), who ran track at Missouri... born Feb. 23, 1978, in Jefferson City, Mo.
