TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University running back Marion Grice earned Week Eight Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll recognition for the third time this season following his performance in the Sun Devils’ 53-24 win over No. 20 Washington Oct. 19 at Sun Devil Stadium.

The Hornung Award Honor Roll is given weekly to the nation’s most outstanding all-purpose player and Grice, who also took home honors in week three and week five, is the only student-athlete in the nation to be recognized three times this season.

College Football Performance Awards also named Grice the National All-Purpose Performer of the Week.

Grice carried the ball 21 times for 158 yards, one yard shy of his career high, and scored three touchdowns, including two rushing and three receiving. He finished the game with 268 all-purpose yards as he also added 27 receiving yards and 73 kick return yards.

As of Oct. 21, Grice leads the nation in both rushing touchdowns with 12 and in scoring at 15.4 points per game, and is 10th in the nation in all-purpose yards at 165 yards per game.

He has 18 touchdowns through seven games this season and has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season, and also leads the nation’s running backs with six receiving touchdowns this year.

He has 1,155 all-purpose yards this season, including 553 rushing yards, 292 receiving yards and 300 kick return yards. He has notched more than 2,000 all-purpose yards in 20 career games with the Sun Devils.

Grice eclipsed 100 all-purpose yards for the ninth straight game, and has scored at least one touchdown in each of the past 10 games for a total of 24 touchdowns in that span.
