SUN DEVIL HISTORY IN THE TOURNAMENT: The tournament has been played every year since 1996 and Sun Devils have had good success in this event. Rahm shot 12-under 204 last year (72-65-67) to win the tournament, while Spencer Fletcher won the event in 2011 with an 8-under 208 (68-72-68). ASU tied with Long Beach for the team title in 2011. Back in 2008, Tristan Bierenbroodsot shot a 10-under 206 (66-67-71) to win the event.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT: The 18-year old tournament recently changed its name to the "The Cullum Invitational" after the legendary Northridge men's golf coach. In previous years, the tournament has been called "The Countrywide Invitational" and in 2006 was renamed "The Bill Cullum/Countrywide Invitational.”

EAGLE UPDATE: Jon Rahm’s nine eagles last year was tied for the best mark in the nation with Xander Schauffele of San Diego State. That also was the most by a Sun Devil in the past 20 seasons, topping Paul Casey’s eight eagles in his freshman season of 1997-98. Jon had three of them in the Tucker Invitational in late September and posted one in the first round of the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, bringing his career total to 13. Since Golfstat began tracking in 1993-94, only four Sun Devils have more career eagles than Jon Rahm.

It reached No. 2 on Oct. 19, 2009, was in the top-five seven times (last time was Nov. 30, 2009) and was in the top-10 33 times (last was on May 24, 2010).
