Weilding big smiles and a plastic bag full of baseballs, several Members of the ASU Baseball team visited with patients at Phoenix Children's Hospital Tuesday.
Community involvment is a big part of being a Sun Devil, but with baseball, where 90% go on to play professionally, it is preparing them for something most likely to be a part of their future career.
Some players visited "The Child Life Zone" a activity room funded by Teammates for Kids- a foundation run by Troy Aikman and Garth Brooks. Here, they painted rocks and played video games
Other players visited patients in their rooms, talking about ASU, signing baseballs and even helping out an improv troop visiting the hospital as well.
Other community service activities Sun Devil athletes have participated in this year include volunteering at the Salvation Army and talking to junior high students about leadership.
