TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State volleyball team honored the 2013 season and its senior class of Stephanie Preach, Jenny Teslevich, Caitlyn Francis, and Bethany Jorgensen on Friday night.

“Our graduating senior class is one of the most special in my career,” head coach Jason Watson said. “They have changed the expectations and perceptions of our program.  In doing so, they leave Sun Devil Volleyball better than they found it and ended their careers better than they started.  It’s a strong legacy in which to build on.  I’m thankful to each of them for taking a chance and committing to building a program we are proud to put our signatures on.”

Preach, who started in each game this season for the Sun Devils (19-14, 8-12 Pac-12), finished her career with 2010 total digs, making her the second in ASU history to surpass the mark of 2000.

Teslevich picked up a season-high 16 digs twice this season and on back-to-back nights as ASU notched a pair of crucial road wins over then-No.23 Oregon and Oregon State. The Phoenix, Ariz., native looks to continue her academic career in medical school.

A two-time selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team, Francis was a consistent presence on the court for the Sun Devils. Double majoring in family and human development and psychology in The Barrett Honors College, Francis was also a three-time selection to the Dean’s list.

Jorgensen recorded her career high in kills with seven in ASU’s straight-set victory over Alabama State at the ASU Marriott Invitational on Sept. 21. Later that same day, Jorgensen recorded five kills and an impressive .364 hitting percentage as ASU topped Louisiana-Monroe, 3-0.
