SUN DEVIL DATA: The Sun Devils men’s hoops team takes on the California Golden Bears on Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m. on Pac-12 Network on Senior Day. The Sun Devils are 7-3 in past 10 and have posted a 15-1 mark at home this year, just one win shy of the school home win mark of 16-4 set last season and in 2009-10. Tim Healey and Kyle Dodd have the local radio call for 92.3 FM and across the world on Sirius 108/XM 90.

VS. CAL: ASU has won the past two vs. future Hall of Fame coach Mike Montgomery and the Golden Bears, including an 89-78 overtime win on Jan. 29 in Berkeley when ASU led by 16 in the second half only to have Cal take a three-point lead with 25 seconds before Jermaine Marshall did what Jermaine Marshall does. He tied the game with a three-bomb, then ASU outscored Bears 17-6 in overtime. Jahii Carson had 29 while Jermaine added 22. ASU outrebounded Cal 39-32 and ASU’s bench outscored Cal’s 15-7.

RPI: ASU enters this weekend No. 30 in the NCAA official RPI and its final three games are against top-100 teams. ASU played the two teams at the bottom of the Pac-12 standings (USC and UW) once and future opponents (and their RPIs) are Cal (47), at Oregon (32) and at OSU (100).

WON'T BE EASY, BUT: ASU (15-1 at home) is going to try and close one of the best home seasons in school history this weekend. Since the building opened in 1974-75, ASU has had just two seasons with one or no losses. It opened the building with 14 straight wins in 1974-75 (14-0) and in its 1980-81 season went 14-1 at home. It set school record for home wins in 2009-10 and 2012-13 (16-4).

8-1 WOULD BE NO JOKE: ASU has a chance to go 8-1 at home in Pac-12 play, something only 12 teams will have done in the past 10 seasons. UA is 8-0 this year, while no one did it last year. ASU has a chance to go 8-1 at home for just the third time in 36 Pac-10/12 seasons, and the last time it did it was 1980-81 (also in 1978-79). ASU has a chance to win eight straight Pac-12 home games for just the second time in school history, as again the 1980-81 team also lost its home opener. That team had some serious hoopers by the way, with first names like Byron (Sco, Fat and Alton).

SIMPLE: In the 25 seasons prior to Coach Sendek, ASU had three 20-win seasons. It has five in his eight seasons.

15 HOME Ws, NOT MANY Ls: Here is a list of teams who have 15 home wins and no more than one loss: Arizona (17-0), Duke (16-0), Wichita State (16-0), Creighton (15-0), Florida (15-0), Gonzaga (15-0) and Arizona State (15-1).

THE BLOCK STAT: Jordan Bachynski with 119 blocks is blocking one of every 14.1 opponent shots. Since he has not blocked a three-pointer, that means he has blocked one of every 10.2 two-point attempts.

REVISITING JERMAINE VS. UA: All senior graduate transfer Jermaine Marshall seems to do is hit big shots and come up big when the Sun Devils need it most, and his game vs. Arizona on Valentine's Day was epic and earned him Pac-12 Player of the Week. In leading ASU to its highest win over a ranked opponent at home in school history, Marshall had 29 points on 11-of-23 shooting (4-of-8 from the three-point stripe). He kept ASU in it early with 12 first-half points and then was rock solid in the second overtime with eight points. He made a three-pointer with 1:34 left and ASU down four, then tied it with a three-pointer with 58 seconds left. With ASU down one he made a driving layup with 14 seconds left that would be the game winner in the 69-66 double overtime victory.

BLOCK----CHYNSKI!: Jordan Bachynski, the nation's leading shot blocker with 119 (4.25 pg), in the first three seasons of his career (89 games), averaged 6.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.03 blocks. This season he is at 11.3 ppg., 8.5 rpg and 4.3 bpg. Jordan has a double-double in 11 games, after entering the season with five (89 games). With 300 career blocks he is now the Pac-12 record holder, topping Anthony Cook of Arizona (278 from 1985-89). He needs just two blocks to break his own Pac-12 season record of 120 blocks set last year.

PAC-12 SINGLE SEASON BLOCKS
1. 120, Jordan Bachynski, ASU, 2012-13
2. 119, Jordan Bachynski, ASU, 2013-14
3. 115, Mario Bennett, ASU, 1994-95

BLOCK-WIN-SKI: Three times this season Jordan Bachynski has blocked a potential shot near the buzzer to prevent an overtime or win. Against No. 25 Marquette on Nov. 25, his walk-off block gave ASU the 79-77 win. On Feb. 8 vs. Oregon, he swatted away Joseph Young's layup at the buzzer that would have tied it in the 74-72 win. On Feb. 14, he blocked T.J. McConnell's runner in the lane with ASU up one that led to a Jahii Carson runout dunk and the 69-66 win over #2 Arizona.

1,000: Jahii Carson enters his 64th game vs. California with 1,171 points (18.5 ppg). Only two Sun Devils reached 1,000 points quicker than Jahii who did it in his 55th game. Ike Diogu reached 1,000 in his 50th game, while James Harden did it in his 52nd. One other Sun Devil scored 1,000 points in his first two years, as Bobby Lazor had 1,077 in 62 career games (17.4 ppg.) in his ASU career (1997-99) after two seasons at Syracuse. Bobby reached his 1,000th point in his 58th Sun Devil tilt.

SUN DEVIL CAREER POINTS LEADERS
1. Eddie House (1996-2000)--2,044
20. Dennis Dairman (1962-65)—1,220
21. Chad Prewitt (1998-2002)--1,177
22. Jahii Carson (2012-14)--1,171
23. Fat Lever (1978-82)--1,137

JORDAN AT THE LINE: Jordan Bachynski entered the Pac-12 season 180-of-318 (.567) from the free throw line. Since Pac-12 tipped, he is 58-of-74 (.783) at the charity stripe.

EJ IMPROVING: Sophomore Eric Jacobsen was 26-of-51 (.509) from the free throw line in his career entering the Arizona game on Jan. 16, but has made 14-of-18 (.778) since. He had a season-high seven points and matched season-highs in minutes (20) and rebounds (six) in the Jan. 29 overtime win at California.

NCAA LEADERS: Jordan Bachynski has a chance to lead the NCAA in blocks. Three Sun Devils have led the NCAA in official categories. Jeff Pendergraph shot 66 percent from the field in 2008-09, Ahlon Lewis averaged 9.19 assists in 1997-98 and Dick Daugherty shot 87.2 percent (75-of-86) from the free throw line in 1953-54. Radio analyst Kyle Dodd can lay claim to an unofficial NCAA record with a 4.73 assist-to-turnover ratio back in 2002-03 (104 assists and 22 turnovers), but the NCAA didn't officially start tracking the statistic until 2007-08.

SHAQ: Shaquielle McKissic has one year to play and is making the most of it. In the past 19 games, he is averaging 10.8 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting .504 from the field (66-of-131). In those tilts he has 40 assists and just 16 turnovers. He has 62 assists and just 20 turnovers and leads the team with 37 steals. He is averaging 6.3 rebounds in past eight games and has 11 double-figure scoring games on the year.

MARSHALL, MARSHALL, MARSHALL: Don't sleep on this. In five high-intensity wins where every bucket was needed (overtime games vs. #2 Arizona, Oregon State and at California, Marquette and at UNLV), Jermaine Marshall was 42-of-81 (.519) from the floor, 19-of-35 (.543) from the three-point stripe and posted 29 vs. Arizona, 25 vs. Oregon Sate, 22 at California, 21 at UNLV and 20 vs. Marquette. Want more? In the second-half of those nail biters he was 27-of-48 (.563) from floor. He has 1,298 career points and 176 career three-pointers in 117 career games. In the three overtime wins this year Jermaine is averaging 25.3 points. Last year he averaged 15.3 points (sixth in Big Ten), 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists and shot .759 from the free throw line (107-of-141).. He has posted 19 20-point games (10 at ASU), and four of his top scoring games were against ranked teams.

BO KNOWS: After transferring from Hawaii where he made freshman school record 57 threes in 2010-11, last year Bo Barnes made four shots and had 13 points in 11 games and 78 minutes. In past 11 games he has played 201 minutes (18.3 pg), is 22-of-46 (.478) from field, 14-of-31 (.452) from three and is averaging 6.6 ppg.

COMEBACKS: ASU is 4-6 when trailing at the half, after going 8-50 previous four seasons. ASU came back from halftime deficits to win at UNLV (38-34), vs. Utah (41-37), vs. Oregon State (29-26) and vs. #2 Arizona (26-21). ASU is 16-2 when it leads at the half, with its only defeats to Miami (30-24) and at Stanford (33-32).

OT: With wins at Cal (Jan. 29), vs. Oregon State (Feb. 6) and #2 Arizona (Feb. 14), ASU is 13-5 under Coach Sendek at ASU and has won seven of the past eight involving free basketball games.
