No. 28 Tennis Hosts Yale, BYU at Whiteman

TEMPE, Ariz.—Fresh off a 6-1 victory in its Pac-12 opening match over Washington, the No. 28 Arizona State women’s tennis team (11-2, 1-0 Pac-12) returns to Tempe to host Yale on Thurs., March 13 at 1:30 p.m. PT and BYU on Saturday at Noon PT at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz.

With the win over UW, the Sun Devils are on a five-match win streak including blanking Nevada and Western Michigan, 7-0. ASU has outscored its opponents 37-5 within the last five matches.

Sophomore Stephanie Vlad, who plays the No. 1 spot in the Sun Devil line-up, moved up to No. 50 in the singles rankings. Vlad holds a singles record of 11-2 in dual play. Fellow sophomore Desirae Krawczyk jumped into 96th nationally with a record of 12-0 in the second line-up position.

The Yale Bulldogs are ranked 50th in the latest ITA poll with Brigham Young rounding out the rankings in 64th.
