TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State University will officially kick off the 2014 football season on Saturday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the annual Sun Devil Football Fan Fest.
This event is free of charge and offers the only opportunity to see the defending Pac-12 South Division Champions compete during the spring,
The team’s record-setting offense, led by senior quarterback Taylor Kelly, one of the most productive signal callers in school history, will look to lead the Devils to unprecedented success in the third season under 2013 Pac-12 Coach of the Year Todd Graham. The Sun Devils return six All-Pac-12 performers, including Kelly, running back DJ Foster, wide receiver Jaelen Strong, tight end De’Marieya Nelson, offensive lineman Jamil Douglas and Lou Groza Award Semifinalist kicker Zane Gonzalez.
The North End Zone Project will be underway and Sun Devil Athletics staff members will be on hand to answer questions about the future of Sun Devil Stadium as well as the Momentum Project. Season tickets are currently on sale at www.sundeviltickets.com and SDA sales and service staff will be available to give tours and show available seat locations for this exciting season.
Sun Devils who attend Fan Fest have a chance to win a trip for two to the ASU vs. Washington Game Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014 at Husky Stadium. The giveaway includes hotel, airfare and tickets for two to the game. Click here for contest details and to enter.
Sun Devil Athletics will host activities for fans of all ages beginning at 9 a.m., with the on-field portion of the event set for an 11 a.m. start.
All outside activities will take place on the southern end of Sun Devil Stadium and adjacent parking lots. These activities include an interactive Sun Devil Way Fan Fest where younger Sun Devil fans can enjoy the Kids Zone presented by the Junior Sun Devil Club and Shamrock Foods, a Social Media Command Center where fans can get their photos taken, pose with the Territorial Cup and win Sun Devil apparel, and an autograph session for fans 18 and under.
ASU opens its campaign toward the Pac-12 Championship on August 28 at Sun Devil Stadium against Weber State and the remaining home schedule includes UCLA on Sept. 25, a rematch with Stanford on Oct. 18 and a non-conference tilt with Notre Dame on Nov. 8.
