FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—The No. 24 Arizona State women’s gymnastics team heads south to compete in the 2014 NCAA Fayetteville Regional, hosted by Arkansas, Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark. The meet will be live streamed by the Razorbacks with competition starting at 2 p.m. PT/4 p.m. CT.

ASU will join newly crowned Pac-12 Champion Utah, who earned the No. 1 seed in the region, and fellow conference competitor and second-seed UCLA. Regional host Arkansas earned the third seed with Utah State and UC Davis rounding out spots five and six, respectively.

The NCAA office conducted a draw to determine the rotation order for the competition, which follows: No. 3 Arkansas on vault, No. 1 Utah BYE, No. 5 Utah State on bars, No. 6 UC Davis on beam, No. 2 UCLA BYE, and No. 4 Arizona State on floor.

The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships in Birmingham, Ala., April 18-20, hosted by the University of Alabama and the Alabama Sports Foundation. The top two teams from the University Park, Fayetteville and Seattle regionals will compete in one of the semifinals, and the top two teams from the Minneapolis, Athens and Baton Rouge regionals will compete in the other semifinal.

Under head coach John Spini, the Gym Devils have qualified for 33 NCAA Regionals and last made an appearance at the NCAA Championships as a team in 2006.
