|Soph. DH/C RJ Ybarra|
· Ybarra went 4-for-8 with two doubles and eight RBI to lead the Sun Devils to a pair of wins over USC and their third consecutive Pac-12 Conference series win. Both of his doubles were bases-clearing, three-run hits to left-center field.
· He set a career-high with five RBI and tied his career high with three hits, including the game-winning sacrifice fly to left field in the bottom of the 11th inning, in the Devils’ series-clinching win on April 5. He also added a bases-clearing, three-run double in the third inning with the Devils trailing by one.
· Ybarra now has five career game-winning hits in the ninth inning or later, including three in the past three weekends. He hit a one-out RBI double in the 10th inning in a road win at No. 4 Oregon State on March 22 and followed that with a pinch-hit, two-out RBI single in the 10th in a road win at No. 15 UCLA before his one-out sacrifice fly in the 11th vs USC.
· Ybarra nearly replicated Saturday’s magic on Sunday. Trailing 8-3 after six innings on April 6, Ybarra capped off a two-out, seventh-inning rally with a pinch-hit, bases-clearing double to pull ASU within a pair, 8-6. Ybarra also reached base in the bottom of the ninth inning to represent the tying run, but the Devils were unable to drive him home.
