MT SAC RELAYS RESULTS
WALNUT, Calif.—The Arizona State track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 56th Mt. Sac Relays on Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College’s Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
The men’s 4x400m relay team of senior Keith Cleveland, redshirt junior Devan Spann, senior Daveon Collins, and senior Will Henry matched their season best time of 3:06.12 for second in their section and overall.
On the women’s side, the 4x400m relay team of junior Sara McDonald, freshman LaTroya Franklin, senior Sarah Geren, and junior Brianna Tate took third overall at 3:33.13, a new season best.
Junior Shelby Houlihan ran in the elite section of the women’s 800m run, finishing in 10th overall with a time of 2:02.96, which was just off her personal best and school record time of 2:02.63.
Redshirt senior Ryan Milus took fifth in his section and 12th overall in the elite 100m dash with a time of 10.35.
In the women’s 4x100m relay elite section, the team of senior Asiah Gooden, Brianna Tate, Alycia Herring, and LaTroya Franklin won the second section at 44.98.
Late on Friday evening, the ASU distance runners were in action, with redshirt sophomore Ryan Herson taking 18th in the elite section of the 5000m run with a new personal best time of 13:44.81. The time remains the No. 4 time in the ASU record book.
Freshman Chelsey Totten took 14th in the Olympic Developmental section of the women’s 5000m, taking 14th at 16:48.89, while freshman Bernie Montoya finished 24th on the men’s side at 14:26.28.
In the open section of the women’s 5000m, junior Marcy Bricks ran 17:14.04 for 17th, while redshirt senior Steven Schnieders took 16th on the men’s side at 14:29.97.
Up next, the Sun Devil track and field teams will send its throwers to the Triton Invitational, April 25-26, in La Jolla, Calif.
