Packing Them In
The Devils currently rank 21st in average attendance at 2,770 (60,949 total in 22 games), which is just 60 more fans per game than the next closest West Coast team, Oregon State. ASU has led the West Coast and Pac-12 in average attendance for nine consecutive years and 10 of the past 11 seasons.

·      Starting sophomore left-hander Ryan Kellogg is 3-0 with one earned run in 24 innings in his past three starts. He now has five outings of at least seven innings this season.

·      Kellogg earned his second career Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week nod after he threw his second career shutout to power ASU to a 7-0 Territorial Cup win over the University of Arizona on April 26. It marked the first time ASU shut out the Wildcats in Tucson for the first time since May 11, 1972.

·      Kellogg, who moved to 6-2 on the season and is 17-3 in his career, tallied his third consecutive win and third career start without allowing a run. He struck out eight, his most in a Pac-12 Conference game in his two-year career, and scattered seven hits and two walks across the nine-inning shutout.

·      The Wildcats loaded the bases in the bottom of the second inning, but Kellogg struck out catcher Riley Moore to end the frame and went on to retire the next eight batters he faced. He allowed just one runner past second base over the final seven frames as 68 of his 103 pitches were thrown for strikes.
