Time to remember the Sun Devils never had their best five able to play the same tournament last year. Max Rottluff, the expected No. 2, missed the entire fall with a broken wrist while expected No. 3 Alberto Sanchez missed the entire spring with a back injury.

GOOD SHOWING UP NORTH...
Both Ki Taek Lee and Austin Quick had good showings at the Pacific Coast Amateur held July 22-25 at Pine Canyon in Flagstaff. Both shot 5-under 275. Ki Taek went 68-69-71-67, while Austin rallied with 66-67-68 after opening with a 74. Both had 13 birdies on the weekend with one eagle.
Arizona State returns its starting five this year and adds Grayson Murray in the spring. Grayson has to sit in the fall due to transfer rules, but he played in the 2013 U.S. Open in Merion and was at Wake Forest and and East Carolina prior. Also entering the roster is Tobias Eden from Sweden.

AUSTIN QUICK NAMED GCAA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR...
Senior Austin Quick was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university. Quick has played in 36 tournaments in his three seasons and has a 73.56 stroke average. In 2013-14, he had a 72.30 stroke average in 13 tournaments that included seven rounds in the 60s. Quick’s 4.06 par four scoring mark is second-best by a Sun Devil in the past seven seasons, behind only Jon Rahm’s 4.04 mark last year. He also was second on the team last year with 117 birdies.
