TEMPE, Ariz. – The Sun Devil Football program will open the season ranked No. 19 in the Associated Press preseason poll.

This marks the 21st time Arizona State has been included in the AP preseason rankings and the first time since they started at No. 15 in the 2008 poll. ASU came in at No. 21 in the final AP Poll of 2013 on Jan. 7 and spent 10 weeks in the rankings, the most since 2007.

ASU faces five preseason top-25 teams this season, including three at Sun Devil Stadium. ASU’s annual blackout game will be a Thursday night showdown with No. 7 UCLA on Sept. 25 at 7 p.m., and the Devils also host No. 11 Stanford on Oct. 18 in a rematch of the Pac-12 Championship Game and No. 17 Notre Dame on Nov. 8. The Devils travel to Los Angeles for an Oct. 4 matchup with No. 15 USC and head to Seattle to take on No. 25 Washington on Oct. 25.
