FRANKLIN, Tenn.—The fifth-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team returns to the course at the 2013 Mason Rudolph Women's Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt, Sept. 20-22 in Franklin, Tenn. The Sun Devils last competed at the par-72, 6,337-yard Vanderbilt Legends course at the 2012 NCAA Championships.
The 15-team field for the tournament showcases: Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, NC State, Princeton, Texas, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.
In the 13-year history of the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship, the Sun Devils have never brought home the championship trophy. Coming close in 2007, ASU finished in second place with then-freshman Anna Nordqvist four shots off the leader for individual runner-up.
The line-up for the Sun Devils features: junior Noemi Jimenez, junior Emilie Alonso, senior Laura Blanco, senior Justine Lee and freshman Monica Vaughn. Senior Daniela Ordonez will compete as an individual for the tournament.
Last time on the course, the Sun Devils finished in seventh at the Dale McNamara Invitational with Jimenez tying for second place and recording her fourth top-three finish.
