Three Athletes, Two Relays Punch NCAA Ticket on Final Day in Austin

The Sun Devil track and field team brought their three-day total to 15 entries for the NCAA Championships in Iowa.

Arizona State: Returning All-American after helping the 4x100m relay finish sixth at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships... added her name to two more school Top 10 all-time lists in 2010... ranks ninth all-time in the 55m dash (7.11) and seventh in the 60m dash (7.55) and 10th in the 60m hurdles (9.20)... also is a member of six relays that rank among the Top 10 all-time in school history, including the indoor 4x400m relay that ran 3:33.53 in 2011 to record the third-best time... ran on three 4x100m relays that rank among the Top 8 all-time at Arizona State, including the second-fastest relay of Dominique' Maloy, Jasmine Chaney and Charonda Williams, who ran 43.78 to finish sixth at the national meet in 2009... 2011 Outdoor: Advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400-meter hurdles and as part of the 4x400-meter relay, the latter of which finished 13th overall...Competed in the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round in the 400m hurdles and as a member of the 4x400m and 4x100m relays...placed in four events at the PAC-10 Championship as part of a 21-point indvidual effort where she set two career best times, one in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.70 and a 100m record set in the preliminary round of 11.52... both earned her a fifth-place spot... was also a member of the 4x400m and 4x100m relays that finished fourth and second, respectively... garnered three top-eight showings at the 53rd Annual Mt. SAC relays in the 400m hurdles and as a member of the 4x400m and 4x100m relays... had 4 top-five finishes at the 32nd Sun Angel Track Classic, including a second place shoing in the 100m, a fourth-place showing in the 400m hurdles, and as a member of the 4x400m relay second-place squad and the 4x100m relay first place team... 2011 Indoor: Competed as a member of the 4x400m relay in the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships that finished 12th overall... placed in two of three events at the MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championships where she was third as a member of the 4x400m relay team and fifth in the 200m... set a career record in both the 200m and 60m at the Lumberjack Invitational with a time of 24.08 and 7.51, respectively...2010 Outdoor: Scored in the 400m hurdles at the Pac-10 Championships by placing sixth... finished a season-best second place at the Sun Devil Open... ran a personal-best 24.84 in the 200m dash at the Baldy Castillo Invitational... won the 100m dash at that same meet... one of three women that scored in both relays at the Pac-10 Championships as the 4x100m relay took third and the 4x400m relay was second... 4x100m relay advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships... helped ASU sweep both relays at the Sun Devil Open and Double Dual... 2010 Indoor: Won the 55m dash at the NAU Tune-up in 7.11aa, the ninth-best mark all-time at ASU... ran 7.70 in the 60m dash to finish 12th in the MPSF Championships while recording the 10th-fastest time in school history... won the 200m dash at the Tune-up as well (24.68)... member of the MPSF Championship 4x400m relay team (3:38.40)... also ran on two other winning relays (Friday Night Challenge and NAU Team Challenge)... 2009 Outdoor: Earned her first All-America honor by helping the 4x100m relay to a sixth-place showing at the NCAA Championships... the relay's time of 43.78 ranks as the second-best in school history... helped the same relay to the regional title... individually, regionally qualified in the 400m hurdles with a time of 59.80, the 10th-best all-time in school history... scored for the team at the Pac-10 Championships by finishing seventh overall... placed 13th at the regional meet... won the event at the Sun Devil Invitational... opened the season by winning the 100m dash and third in the 400m hurdles at the Baldy Castillo Invitational... 2009 Indoor: Competed in the short sprints and hurdles... won the 200m dash at the NAU Team Challenge with an season-best time of 25.12... finished 18th at the MPSF Championships in the 200m and was 12th in the 60m hurdles... ran a season-best time of 9.20 in the 60m hurdles to finish second at the NAU Team Challenge... helped the distance medley relay to a seventh-place finish at the MPSF Indoor Championships.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Carson High School (Carson City, Nev.)... lettered four times in track & field and twice in soccer... collected 12 Nevada state titles in her prep career... swept the 200m dash and 300m hurdle events at all four state meets... added three crowns in the 100m dash (freshman through junior) and the long jump (senior year)... earned two state runner-up finishes and two third-place finishes at the state meet... set the state meet record in the 300m hurdles in 2007 with a winning run of 43.25... selected as the 2008 Gatorade Nevada Track Athlete of the Year... Nevada Athlete of the Year in 2007 and 2006 (co-winner)... also played on the soccer team, earning all-state accolades in 2006 and 2007.
