Two Devils Earn Third Team Pre-Season All-American Honors From Collegiate Baseball

TEMPE, Ariz. - Two Sun Devil baseball players have been named Louisville Slugger Pre-Season Third Team All-American's, Collegiate Baseball announced today. Junior 3B Eric Sogard and sophomore OF/LHP Ike Davis both earned the honor from the baseball publication.

Sogard (Phoenix, Ariz.) was named a Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball following last season when he hit .353 with 50 RBI and nine home runs. He was a First Team All-Pac-10 selection as well as a Second Team All-American from the NCBWA.

Davis (Scottsdale, Ariz.) had one of the finest debut season's in ASU history, setting a school record with 65 runs batted in. He was named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, a First Team All-Pac-10 selection and a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball, Rivals.com and Baseball America (2nd Team).
