Head Coach Todd Graham
"We turned the football over too much. I wanted to see 100% ball security, and getting the defense getting plays. So either way it's not going to work out right. We were mostly doing two's against one's, but we ended doing one's against one's. I think our guys completed well. We have 120 plays, so it was a good scrimmage. We've gotten better as a football team, and the key is depth."
On having a couple more practices....
"I wanted us to focus on Pat's run, and not have the spring game contradict with that, because I think that's important. We had two practices at the end to focus on a lot of situational things. Today's goal was to come out healthy, which we did.
Wide Receiver Kevin Ozier
On catching passes from Taylor Kelly....
"Taylor Kelly is a great Quarterback, and has great potential. He's getting better and better every year since his freshman year. I love when he throws me the ball, because of our great chemistry."
On how the spring game went for the Wide Receivers...
"Spring ball went better than what people expected. Everyone thought we lost Wide Receivers and we were not going to be productive. We were productive and made some nice plays."
Quarterback Kelly Taylor
On what he's been doing....
"I've been working on my foot work and watching film. Trying to understand what the defense is giving me and techniques.
Today went well. Offensive line gave me some time to put balls in the play makers hands. Marion Grice grasped the ball pretty well. Chris Coyle and Kevin Ozier made some good plays. We just have to keep improving into the summer.
Safety Alden Darby
From where they start, to where they are now
"We got off to a fast start, and weren't slow at all. We knew how things were ran. We didn't waste any practices, and got better and better at each practice.
On transitioning to full time safety...
"I like playing safety. I still work on corner everyday, just for the next level, so I can have to opportunity to play both in the future. As of now I love playing safety, but I'll still go out there and play corner any day.
Tight End Chris Coyle
On what he thought of FanFest
"It was great, a whole lot of energy out here. A lot more energy than we've had in the past couple of years. Last year our team had to buy in and get the fans back on our side and this year I think we have a lot more people that believe in us. It was a great spring game. Both sides came out strong so we were definitely productive. That will give us some good momentum going into this season."
On what he wants to tell the fans
"Stay faithful. Come out to the games and cheer us on as loud as possible. That's what really drives us. Busts those big plays open, win those games and just beat everybody we're up against."
On his hopes for the season
"I hope just to be consistent, hopefully have another season like last season and continue to improve on my blocking ability. And have everybody stay technically focused and be able to finish games. That's something we have to focus on. I think we'll be a lot better doing that this year."
On the Sun Devil team
"We have a lot of young guys coming in and they're going to have big roles. And we have a lot of guys coming back. So as long as everybody does their job we're going to win."
