Steve Kirkman begins his 18th year in the Arizona State Baseball program and his seventh as operations & video coordinator. Kirkman brings an array of knowledge in assisting the coaching and support staff with the general operations of the baseball program. He assists with daily office activities, community events, equipment needs, and several other projects throughout the year. In addition to team duties, Kirkman is in charge of all camp facilitation and administration, correspondence, and finances.
Kirkman is responsible for the audio/visual aspects of the baseball program, overseeing internal video operations for coaches and players to review practices and games. He also creates a highlight video of the team yearly. In addition to video, Kirkman also controls in-game music and scoreboard operation during all home games.
Before becoming the operations & video coordinator, Kirkman held several duties as the team's manager. On the field, he was responsible for field preparation, equipment, and assisting the coaches, while off the field helped in daily operations that extended into the recruiting process, maintaining the recruiting database and assisting with correspondence.
Originally from Spring Valley, Calif., Kirkman came to ASU in the fall of 1998 from Monte Vista HS, alongside former Sun Devil infielder and major leaguer Brooks Conrad, where he began his baseball experience as a manager for the Monarch baseball team. Kirkman graduated from ASU with a degree in Accountancy in 2001. He currently resides with his family in Tempe, AZ.
