Football's proper place for Foster is at ASU (FOX Sports Arizona/Tyler Lockman)

ASU: Has ideal size...is well put together and looks to the naked eye to be more of a compact, agile athlete than he does a power back...is an all-around player who doesn't necessarily excel in one specific aspect of his game but does many things at a high level and is capable of playing within a variety of schemes...is quick off the ball and a natural runner between the tackles...prefers to kick it outside and gain an edge on the defense to utilize his speed, but he can be productive inside and is a heavy runner who is tough to bring down...patient and has smooth footwork to be able to throttle down his speed and wait on blockers and plays to develop.

2012:Earned Freshman All-America honors from Fox Sports NEXT...Had his first 100 yard game against UCLA, with seven catches for 107 yards while also leading the team in rushing with 61 yards on 13 carries... Led team in combine rushing/receiving yards against Oregon (10/18) with 91 yards (41 rushing, 50 receiving) and posting his third career touchdown reception in the process... Led the team in all-purpose yardage against Colorado (10/14), posting nine rushes for 61 yards and six catches for 71 yards, including a spectacular diving catch on a 34-yard bomb in the second quarter...Helped the team find its offensive mojo against Missouri (9/15), grabbing his first career receiving touchdown on a 33-yard catch-and-run late in the first half...Finished second on the team in all-purpose yardage with 1,026 yards (493 on the ground and 533 receiving)... His 37 receptions are the second-most receptions by a freshman in a season in school history (Zach Miller holds the record with 56 in 2004) while his 533 receiving yards are the second-most by a freshman in school history (Miller with 552 in 2004)... Showed his explosiveness and versatility in averaging 4.8 yards per rush (second on team) and 14.0 yards per catch (third on team)...Became one of just six true freshmen to ever start in their first opportunity, doing so against NAU (8/30)... Had eight rushes for 67 yards and a touchdown in his debut while adding four catches for 32 yards..Played in all 13 games as a freshman, making one start...
